New Locations in Houston, Dallas, and Arlington Will Vaccinate a Combined 10,000 Texans Per Day

Austin Texas — Today, the Biden White House announced that they are partnering with the state of Texas to open three new mass vaccination sites to vaccinate up to 10,000 Texans in underserved communities per day.

This follows Texas ranking 49th in vaccine distribution due to Abbott’s inability to advocate for Texas, with underserved communities getting less of the vaccines distributed compared to their affluent counterparts.

Texas Democratic Party Chair Gilberto Hinojosa issued the following statement:

The Biden Administration opening three new mass vaccination sites in Texas is an example of the Biden Administration keeping their promises. Biden promised to speed up the availability of vaccines and today, he delivered for Texans. This is what happens when Democrats get elected. Government runs smoother and we accomplish major breakthroughs.

Under Governor Abbott, our vaccine distribution ranks near the bottom of the country. As Abbott tries to take credit for this major breakthrough, remember that this wouldn’t be possible unless Joe Biden was elected President, and remember that Abbott opposed him every step of the way. In fact, Abbott refused to acknowledge Biden as the winner of the election until after the attack at the Capitol.

We must elect Democrats to continue breakthroughs like what occurred today. When Democrats are elected into office, our communities get the help and resources we need to build a stronger, more prosperous Texas.
